About VistaPath
VistaPath is reinventing pathology by bringing augmentation and computer
vision into the lab - saving customers time and money while creating a safer
experience for patients. Our first product is a software-driven, hardware-
enabled smart workspace that seamlessly interacts with technicians to
revolutionize lab operations. We are looking for a curious and pragmatic
Software Engineer to own meaningful pieces of the webapp our customers use
every day.
You Will:
• Ship features, fixes, and structural refactors in our webapp (React +
TypeScript + Node/Express + CouchDB).
• Diagnose and deploy fixes for customer-reported issues from the lab floor.
• Make scope calls - patch vs refactor, minimal vs structural - and explain
the choice.
• Extrapolate general patterns from individual lab requests so one piece of
work can serve many.
• Execute responsibilities in compliance with our Quality System and our
Information Security System.
You Are:
• A self-starter with a bias toward shipping.
• Comfortable making calls under ambiguity and equally willing to pause and
ask.
• Sharp and fast on unfamiliar ground.
• A direct communicator who flags risk early.
• Someone with strong opinions, weakly held.
• Flexible with your time and trusted to manage it.
• Several years into your career with production code that shipped.
Bonus Points:
• Experience with React, TypeScript, Node/Express, or Redux.
• Experience bringing a medtech, healthtech, or digital health product to
market.
