We are an AI startup operating at the intersection of sports and edtech. Our
products include a B2B dashboard for organizations and a consumer-facing
mobile application. We’re looking for a Founding Software Engineer to lead our
AI strategy, technical roadmap, and product execution. BTW - we have mostly
transitioned out of stealth mode. The name of our company is Sportlingo - I

What You’ll Do
* Define and own the AI/ML vision and technical strategy across both dashboard and mobile application.
* Architect and scale AI infrastructure, data pipelines, and model deployment systems.
* Build and optimize LLM-driven features, recommendation systems, and real-time analytics tools.
* Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver AI features that are robust, scalable, and user-friendly.
* Establish best practices for data governance, model evaluation, and continuous improvement.
* Recruit, mentor, and lead a world-class AI/ML engineering team.
* Stay ahead of industry trends in generative AI, natural language processing, computer vision, and edtech innovations.
What We’re Looking For
* 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 4+ years focused on AI/ML.
* Deep expertise in LLMs, generative AI, and modern ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
* Proven experience deploying AI systems in production at scale (preferably in SaaS or mobile).
* Strong background in data engineering, cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP/Azure), and MLOps.
* Ability to translate business needs into AI solutions with measurable impact.
* Experience managing technical teams, setting vision, and scaling processes.
* Entrepreneurial mindset, excited to build in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment.
Bonus Points
* Experience in edtech, sports tech, SaaS, or consumer learning products.
* Familiarity with multimodal AI (text, images, video, audio).
* Contributions to open-source ML/AI projects or published research.
