specially tuned AI models, live market data and official financial statements,
Lightpool delivers much more detailed and accurate reporting compared to
finance profiles on big search sites or generic AI chat bots.
### **About the Role**
We’re looking for a hard working, growth oriented Business Analyst to join our
team. You'll get to work alongside industry leaders and make a real impact on
our product and the success of our customers on a daily basis. This is a very
dynamic role and most importantly requires the ability to switch contexts
quickly and a passion for growing into new responsibilities. While a formal
engineering background isn't required, we seek candidates with a keen interest
and willingness to explore technical topics. A solid understanding of
fundamental business concepts is essential. Our culture embraces daily code

### **Key Responsibilities**
**Requirements Gathering & Benchmarking:** Engage with early adopters and
stakeholders to gather insights, analyze business requirements, and explore
multiple approaches to solving problems. Document these findings to ensure
clarity and alignment across all project phases.
**Product Analytics & Reporting:** Utilize existing product analytics tools to
extract actionable insights and suggest new methods to improve data collection
and analysis. Create detailed reports and presentations to communicate
findings and recommendations to management.
**Collaborate with Technical Teams:** Work closely with software developers
and project managers to translate business needs into technical
specifications, taking input and feedback from engineering to understand
technical capabilities, and ensuring seamless implementation.
**Enterprise Customer Success:** Collaborate with our top enterprise clients,
understanding their unique business challenges and goals to develop tailored
solutions that maximize the value of Lightpool's offerings, ensuring long-term
customer satisfaction and retention.
**Embody The User:** Become the product's #1 user and advocate for users
cross-functionally.
### **Qualifications**
**Education:**
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information
Systems, or a related field or equivalent project work demonstrating tenacity
and problem-solving skills, such as passion projects or open source
contributions.
MBAs from top-tier programs are encouraged to apply and may be eligible for a
more senior role we will be opening.
**Experience:** 3 years in a business analysis role, preferably within a
software or technology-driven environment, or equivalent project work
demonstrating tenacity and problem-solving skills, such as academic projects
or open-source contributions.
**Technical Skills:**
Proficiency in data analysis
Competency in modern web stacks
Familiarity with all aspects of ML/AI, including topical knowledge of the
biggest players and their strengths and weaknesses
**Soft Skills:**
Very comfortable in executive level conversations
Ability to talk through technical topics, even when you may not have domain
expertise
A real ability to focus when working remotely, engaging in real time with
cross functional teams in an environment where shipping daily is the norm.
This is truly a fast paced environment with zero tolerance for cutting corners
or holding back the team. If you’re the kind of person that likes to kick off
a little early on Fridays to get a round of golf in, there are plenty of roles
out there for you but I promise this isn’t one of them.
