Cheddr is a modern sports gaming and entertainment app transforming how people
engage with live sports — and we’re building from the ground up. Backed by
A16Z’s Speedrun 4 accelerator, we’re creating a bold, intuitive product in a
space that’s long overdue for innovation.
We’re looking for a founding designer to define and drive the full design
vision — from UX flow to brand identity. This is a rare opportunity to own
design at a company from day one, shape the user experience from scratch, and
build something people actually want to use.
**What You’ll Do**
* Own end-to-end product design — from early concepts and flows to high-fidelity UI and polish
* Build the design system and visual identity that defines the Cheddr brand
* Collaborate directly with founders, PM, and engineering to ship early and often
* Reimagine how users interact with sports — making it more dynamic, social, and rewarding
* Create clarity from ambiguity in a fast-moving startup environment
* Lay the foundation for design culture and process as we grow
**Who You Are**
* 9+ years of experience in product design, ideally at fast-moving **consumer startups**
* Skilled in mobile-first design and Figma workflows
* Confident working in 0→1 environments where you’re setting direction, not following it
* Obsessed with clean, intuitive UX and thoughtful interaction
* Comfortable with ambiguity and fast iteration — you know when to ship and when to finesse
* Motion design or animation experience
