* _The Role *_

We are looking for a Head of AI Program Analysis to lead and scale our machine
learning and binary analysis teams, driving research and innovation at the
intersection of AI and cybersecurity.

This is a high-impact, strategic, and hands-on leadership role, where you will
be responsible for defining and executing the technical roadmap, mentoring a
team of world-class engineers and researchers, and delivering cutting-edge
solutions that enhance our cybersecurity capabilities.

You will work closely with engineering to integrate machine learning and
binary analysis into real-world applications, tackling some of the most
complex challenges in threat detection, malware analysis, and AI-driven
security.

This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in cybersecurity, machine
learning, and binary analysis, along with experience leading teams in a
startup or scale-up environment.

**Key Responsibilities**

* _Leadership & Team Growth *_

* Lead, mentor, and scale the machine learning and binary analysis teams, ensuring technical excellence and alignment with business objectives.

* Define hiring needs and team structure, ensuring we attract and retain top-tier talent.

* _Technical Strategy & Research *_

* Define and execute the technical strategy for applying machine learning and binary analysis to cybersecurity challenges.

* Drive research and development efforts to enhance capabilities in malware detection, reverse engineering, and AI-driven security.

* Develop new AI techniques for exploit detection, adversarial resilience, and automated binary analysis.

* Ensure best practices in model development, evaluation, deployment, and security.

* _Industry Engagement & Thought Leadership *_

* Represent the company at cybersecurity and AI conferences (e.g., Black Hat, DEF CON)

* Contribute to academic research, patents, and open-source security projects.

* Engage with government, regulatory, and enterprise security teams to shape industry best practices.

**Security, Compliance & Operational Readiness**

* Implement secure software development practices for machine learning and binary analysis workflows.

* Ensure AI models comply with cybersecurity regulations, risk frameworks, and industry standards.

* Address concerns around bias, fairness, and explainability in AI-driven security solutions.

**Key Metrics for Success (First 6–12 Months)**

In the first six to twelve months, success in this role will be measured by:

* Building and structuring the team, ensuring the right skills and expertise are in place.

* Developing and deploying new machine learning models or binary analysis techniques that significantly improve product capabilities.

* Defining a clear technical strategy roadmap, aligning research and engineering efforts with business objectives.

* Contributing to at least one industry publication, patent, or open-source initiative in AI-driven cybersecurity.

* Establishing best practices for scalable, secure AI deployment in cybersecurity applications.

* _Required Experience & Skills *_

* Strong background in machine learning, binary analysis, and cybersecurity.

* Experience leading and managing technical teams, ideally within a startup or scale-up environment.

* Deep understanding of malware analysis, reverse engineering, and AI applications in cybersecurity.

* Proficiency in relevant programming languages such as Python, C, or Rust.

* Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and cybersecurity tools (e.g. IDA Pro, Ghidra)

* Knowledge of secure software development practices and adversarial machine learning risks.

* Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders.

* Experience working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

* _Desirable Experience *_

* PhD or advanced research experience in machine learning, cybersecurity, or a related field.

* Prior experience in threat intelligence or penetration testing.

* Familiarity with cloud-based AI infrastructure and secure model deployment.

This role will involve solving some of the hardest challenges in AI-driven
cybersecurity, including:

Developing AI models that detect zero-day exploits and advanced malware.

Optimising binary analysis techniques for large-scale, real-time security
applications.

Building adversarially robust AI models that defend against attacks on machine
learning systems.

Enhancing AI-powered reverse engineering techniques to automate malware
analysis.
