Your Role
As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will be responsible for designing,
developing, and scaling Meelance’s web and mobile platforms. You will lead
technical strategy, product innovation, and team building while ensuring our
technology aligns with business goals. This is a hands-on leadership role,
ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment.
This role comes with a equity stake, and a competitive salary will be offered
post-funding.
Key Responsibilities
Technology & Product Development
* Define and execute the technology strategy in alignment with business objectives.
* Lead the design, development, and deployment of our MERN-stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js) web platform.
* Oversee mobile app development using Flutter for both iOS and Android.
* Build a secure, scalable, and high-performance system architecture.
* Ensure seamless integration of AI/ML capabilities for automation and talent matching.
* Implement best practices in cloud infrastructure, using AWS and Azure for hosting, storage, and deployment.
* Establish and enforce data security, compliance, and privacy protocols.
* Leadership & Team Building
* Recruit, build, and manage a high-performing engineering team.
* Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence.
* Drive agile development processes, ensuring efficiency and fast iteration cycles.
* Work closely with founders, investors, and cross-functional teams to align tech with business growth.
* Strategic Growth & Innovation
* Develop and execute a long-term technology roadmap for scalability.
* Stay ahead of emerging tech trends, AI innovations, and industry developments.
* Identify and integrate third-party APIs, automation tools, and cloud solutions to enhance efficiency.
* Play a key role in fundraising discussions, presenting technical insights to investors.
* Build partnerships with cloud providers, AI/ML vendors, and tech startups for strategic advantages.
Who You Are
Technical Expertise
* 7+ years of experience in software development, architecture, and leadership.
* Proven expertise in the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js).
* Experience with Flutter for cross-platform mobile app development.
* Strong understanding of AWS and Azure cloud services (EC2, S3, Lambda, DevOps, etc.).
* Knowledge of microservices architecture, API development, and DevOps pipelines.
* Experience with AI/ML integration is a plus.
* Strong grasp of data security, compliance, and performance optimization.
* Leadership & Business Acumen
* Experience building and scaling engineering teams in a startup or high-growth environment.
* Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills.
* Ability to align technology with business objectives and drive innovation.
* Experience working with investors, venture capitalists, or fundraising teams is a plus.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting.
