deploy, open-core from day one, and built for security engineers who want full
control.

Our mission is simple: make threat detection programmable and accessible. No
more opaque vendors, black-box logic, or overpriced security contracts.

We’ve already closed a pre-seed round with a top-tier venture firm and are
backed by operators and security leaders who believe in the need for a truly
developer-first security platform.

Location: Remote (US time zones preferred)
Compensation: Competitive salary + meaningful equity
Stage: Pre-Seed (funded by Tier-1 VC)
Tech Stack: Python, Docker, AWS, Postfix, GraphQL, React (optional), Go (nice
to have)

**What you 'll do**
Own the core detection engine: from email log ingestion to customizable rule
execution (Python/YAML-based)
Build the open-core framework that thousands of engineers will deploy
Design APIs and infra for Gmail/O365 connectors, serverless deployment, and
Slack/Splunk integrations
Partner closely with the founder (ex-Greenspring, StepStone) on strategy,
product, and GTM
Shape the culture, roadmap, and long-term architecture of the company

**Who are you?**
3–7 years experience in backend or security engineering
Strong in Python and systems design
Deep interest in email security, EDR, or threat detection (or ready to learn
fast)
Experience with containers, cloud functions (AWS Lambda or similar), and
GitHub pipelines
Bonus: familiarity with email protocols (SMTP, DKIM, DMARC) or prior
contributions to open-source security tools
Hacker spirit: you love writing code, shipping fast, and solving tough
infrastructure problems
