ApplyThis Is Not a Job. It Is a Platform.
Harrison Hayes has spent nearly two decades becoming one of the most respected
boutique life science advisory and investment banking firms in the industry.
Since 2007, we have facilitated over $25 billion in transactions across
biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, and digital health sectors. We
have built a team of more than 50 professionals representing 400 years of
collective life science expertise. We have earned a reputation that most firms
in this space spend careers trying to build.
Now we are looking for the person who will take what we have built and make it
into something larger, faster, and more consequential than it has ever been.
That person is not a caretaker. They are a builder.
What Harrison Hayes Does
We are an investment bank and strategic advisory firm with an exclusive and
uncompromising focus on life sciences. Our work spans mergers and
acquisitions, licensing deals, royalty monetization, strategic advisory, and
cross-border engagements across the full spectrum of biotechnology,
pharmaceutical, medical device, and digital health.
Our clients are innovation-driven companies at critical inflection points. The
work we do with them changes the trajectory of therapies, technologies, and
ultimately patients.
We do not dabble in life sciences. We live inside it. That focus is our
competitive advantage and it is the foundation on which the next chapter of
Harrison Hayes will be built.
The Opportunity
We are launching two simultaneous growth initiatives and we need one
exceptional leader to drive both.
The first is the continued expansion of our core investment banking and
advisory practice through virtual team building, new client development, and
deepened sector coverage across our existing verticals.
The second is the launch of our Innovation and Ideation practice, a new
offering that will complement our investment banking capabilities by providing
life science companies with the strategic innovation infrastructure, ideation
frameworks, and commercial insight they need to identify and capitalize on
emerging opportunities before the market has priced them in.
This is a rare combination of mandates. Run what exists. Build what does not
yet exist. Do both simultaneously with the urgency and ownership mentality
that only someone with genuine entrepreneurial DNA can bring to it.
What You Will Do
Lead and grow Harrison Hayes's investment banking and strategic advisory
practice, expanding client relationships across biotechnology, pharmaceutical,
medical device, and digital health sectors with a focus on M&A, licensing,
royalty monetization, and strategic advisory engagements.
Build and manage a high-performance virtual team, identifying, recruiting, and
developing talent across the full professional spectrum from analysts to
senior advisors, creating the infrastructure that allows Harrison Hayes to
scale without sacrificing the boutique quality and specialized focus that
defines us.
Architect and launch the Innovation and Ideation practice from concept to
commercialization, developing the methodology, the go-to-market strategy, the
client offering, and the team that will make it a meaningful and
differentiated revenue stream within the firm.
Represent Harrison Hayes at the senior level with clients, prospects,
partners, and the broader life science ecosystem, carrying the firm's legacy
and reputation into every conversation with the authority and conviction that
nearly two decades of market leadership earns.
Drive business development with discipline and creativity, identifying new
client opportunities, deepening existing relationships, and building the
pipeline that sustains and accelerates the firm's growth trajectory.
Who You Are
You have meaningful experience in life sciences, whether in investment
banking, strategic advisory, business development, consulting, or operating
roles within biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or medical device companies. You
understand how deals get done, how decisions get made, and where the value
actually sits in a life science transaction.
You are entrepreneurially minded in the genuine sense of the word. You are not
looking for a role with a defined scope and a clear ceiling. You are looking
for a platform with an open horizon and the resources, the reputation, and the
relationships to build something on it. The long hours that come with building
something do not intimidate you. They energize you.
You are a leader who builds teams rather than managing headcount. You
understand that a virtual organization requires a different and more
intentional approach to culture, communication, and accountability than a
traditional office environment, and you know how to create that environment
without a physical space to anchor it.
You are commercially serious. You can close. You understand that the most
important conversations in this business happen at the intersection of deep
domain expertise and genuine human trust, and you know how to be the person in
that conversation who earns both.
You are ready to own something. Not metaphorically. A significant equity stake
in Harrison Hayes is on the table for the right candidate, and that means the
growth you generate is growth you participate in directly and permanently.
What Harrison Hayes Offers
A significant equity stake in a firm with nearly two decades of market
presence, an established client base, a $25 billion transaction track record,
and a clear and executable vision for its next phase of growth.
The mandate to lead and build with genuine autonomy, reporting directly to the
founder with full access to the firm's relationships, reputation, and
institutional knowledge.
A virtual structure with no geographic constraint. You work where you work
best. The team you build will work where they work best.
The opportunity to launch a new practice from the ground up within an
established firm, combining the entrepreneurial energy of a startup with the
credibility and client access of an eighteen year old institution.
A life science ecosystem that is growing, innovating, and generating more
transaction activity than at any point in the firm's history, which means the
platform you are inheriting is better than it has ever been.
The Right Question
Most candidates will ask what the role requires. The right candidate will ask
what the role makes possible.
If you read this and thought about what you could build here rather than
whether you are qualified to apply, you are probably the person we are looking
for.
Reach out directly. Tell us not what you have done but what you would do with
this platform and why you are the person to do it.
