๐ฐ $100,000 - $150 ๐ New York City ๐ 03/08/2025
Future Reference is revolutionizing resale through AI. Nearly 200B sits
untapped in US closets due to friction and indecision. Itโs our goal to bring
more quality items back into the circular economy by helping owners to
effortlessly sell their preloved designer items as their style evolves.
We do this by offering users cross-listing across marketplaces like Poshmark,
Vestiaire Collective, Ebay and Depop. To make listing one-click, users can
link their email to pull past purchases into an automated digital wardrobe.
Since our launch in October, we have refined our product and value prop and
worked to scale our user base and GMV under management with near-zero
marketing investment. We have several key partnerships in pipeline with apps
in styling, social commerce, and AI shopping.
Weโre looking for a Founding Engineer to step in lead technical development,
define our technical strategy, and drive the development of new features and
functionality for our website and app.
### **Who You Are**
You are passionate about marketplaces and building top-tier consumer products,
and have an interest in fashion/commerce and circular platforms. You
understand (or are open to deep-diving into) the competitive landscape and
pain points of both secondhand buyers and sellers.
A top 1% tech lead. Someone who can grow, mentor, and drive lean & mean
engineering teams to build incredible customer-facing products. Not afraid to
get your hands dirty with code, and able to elevate the work and cadence of
others around you. We want someone to build a lasting engineering culture.
You have a strong understanding of
* AI agents
* Consumer growth
* Maintaining complex data pipelines
Ideally, you have experience with our stack and can hit the ground running
from day 1. Youโll need to take over our consumer facing product and our API
integrations with partners. Weโre built on full-stack TypeScript, relying
heavily on PostgreSQL and modern web development standards.
