**Compensation:**
* Competitive project-based pay (Annual Salary range is an estimate and based on experience and number of projects you assist with)
* Equity: 0.5%–1.0% company equity based on experience
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Architect and develop robust backend systems for YOR.AI’s AI Agent platform.
* Design and build APIs and microservices that enable seamless communication among front-end interfaces, databases, and AI/ML components.
* Containerize and deploy applications using Docker and related tools for consistent and reproducible local server setups.
* Integrate AI/ML models and manage data flows, ensuring efficient model serving and optimized inference performance.
* Implement and maintain databases (SQL and NoSQL) for agent states, logs, and metadata.
* Collaborate with front-end developers and AI engineers to maintain high performance, reliability, and efficiency across the platform.
* Document backend APIs, system architectures, and deployment processes; set up CI/CD pipelines and testing environments as needed.
**Required Skills & Experience:**
* 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.
* Strong expertise in Python, including experience with backend frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django.
* Extensive experience with Docker and containerization; familiarity with Docker Compose or Kubernetes is advantageous.
* Solid understanding of database design and management (relational databases, NoSQL).
* Proven experience building scalable web services and distributed systems, with knowledge of RESTful API design and backend security best practices.
* Comfortable integrating AI/ML libraries and handling ML workloads.
* Proficient in version control systems (Git) and familiar with collaborative development practices; DevOps/cloud (AWS, GCP, etc.) experience is a plus.
