ApplyWe're looking for an exceptional front-end developer excited to build a modern
payments dashboard and checkout experiences. This role primarily involves
working with a dashboard powered by golang, templ, and HTMX. You'll also build
checkout experiences for our merchants via Javascript libraries, and embedable
components. You'll work closely with the technical founder to design systems
that process sensitive financial data with integrity, resilience, and
performance in mind.
This is a critical role: you will be a pivotal member of the development team,
integral to building a solid foundation for years to come. This is an
opportunity to see architecture decisions play out over time, apply your prior
learnings to make sure we get it right, and make a difference.
### What you'll do
* Implement responsive design and ship UI that works across devices and viewports.
* Build interactive analytics reports and dashboards to surface product and usage insights.
* Optimize the user experience through performance, accessibility, and clear information architecture.
* Design and build embeddable checkout components for merchants integrating with Vixel.
* Apply secure coding practices to guard against common vulnerabilities (SQL injection, XSS, CSRF, SSRF, etc.)
### What we're looking for
* Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design
* Strong experience with Typescript
* Ideally strong experience with HTMX, otherwise experience with React + Server Side Rendering
* Experience with go (golang) and templ is a strong plus
* Strong debugging skills
* Unit testing experience
* Strong communication skills, able to work remote with autonomy and responsibility
* At least 2 years of professional development experience or a strong GitHub repository
* Excellent English communication skills
* Start-up / early stage company experience
* Background checks are required, as we are PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant
### Nice to have
* Experience writing components with minimal dependencies for external consumption
* Experience with Figma, Photoshop, and/or Illustrator
* Storybook familiarity, or related
* Appreciation for good UX
* FinTech experience
### Ethos
* Simplicity does not just happen, it takes more time, effort, and experience.
* APIs should be designed with the developer in mind. Properly handling errors and validation is just as important as the success response. Consistency is key.
* Strong unit and integration tests make for safer production releases.
* Healthy, constructive feedback makes us all better. Development is not done in a vacuum.
* We care about output, not when you sit in front of a screen
