**Senior AI LLM Developer (Adversarial Role Chatbot System)**
The AI Developer is responsible for the end-to-end development of the
Adversarial Role Chatbot System, an application designed to enhance academic
writing and critical reasoning through multi-agent dialogue and adversarial
interaction. The system engages users in structured discussions where distinct
AI personas question, critique, and refine user input to promote deeper
reasoning and reduce unsupported claims.
The Developer will oversee the full development workflow - including system
design, implementation, testing, optimization, and maintenance. This includes
translating conceptual and research objectives into functional software
components, ensuring code quality, and supporting integration with external
services or APIs as required.
**Responsibilities**
* Design, develop, and maintain the core architecture of the Adversarial Role Chatbot System.
* Implement multi-role conversational logic, enabling toggleable personas with adjustable tone and reasoning styles.
* Train and fine-tune new models from scratch or on domain-specific datasets to improve reasoning quality and persona consistency.
* Develop and refine the user interface and interaction flows for engaging with different AI personas and summarizing debates.
* Integrate large language model APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Claude, DeepSeek, or equivalent) and manage prompt logic for consistent, role-specific responses.
* Implement and maintain API integrations for evidence and citation retrieval (e.g., PubMed, Semantic Scholar, Elicit).
* Conduct testing, evaluation, and iterative refinement to improve reliability, responsiveness, and reasoning accuracy.
* Write and maintain technical documentation, including architecture, development processes, datasets, and prompt frameworks.
* Collaborate closely with research and design teams to align system behavior with project objectives.
* Support scaling, optimization, and deployment planning for future phases of the project.
**Requirements**
* Strong proficiency in Python and experience developing AI applications using LLM APIs.
* Demonstrated ability to manage the full software development lifecycle — design, implementation, testing, and deployment.
* Hands-on experience with training or fine-tuning language models (e.g., using PyTorch, Hugging Face, or similar frameworks).
* Knowledge of multi-agent systems, adversarial prompting, and dialogue orchestration.
* Familiarity with frameworks such as LangChain, CrewAI, or equivalent agent management tools.
* Solid understanding of NLP, prompt engineering, and conversational AI techniques.
* Experience with API integration, data management, version control (Git), and documentation best practices.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively across PDT or CET time zones.
**Preferred**
* Experience developing AI tutoring, educational, or reasoning-oriented dialogue systems.
* Familiarity with research APIs, citation management, or automated evidence retrieval.
* Proficiency with model evaluation, data preprocessing, and training pipeline optimization.
* Basic understanding of UI/UX principles for interactive prototypes or research tools.
* Interest in critical thinking, logic, or argumentation frameworks.

**Compensation**
* Base salary: $140,000–$170,000 CAD (3 month probation period)
* Bonuses based on performance
