About the Role
We’re hiring a Staff Engineer to improve platform reliability and scale.
You’ll lead technical direction for backend systems, set standards, and drive
upgrades that make the product faster and safer.

What You’ll Do
• Define API standards, service patterns, and reliability goals
• Improve database performance and data correctness
• Build scalable services and background processing
• Lead incident reviews and drive long-term fixes
• Introduce better observability (metrics, traces, alerts)
• Mentor engineers and unblock complex work
• Work with leadership on roadmap tradeoffs
Required Skills
• Deep backend experience (Node.js or Python)
• Strong systems thinking and production ownership
• Strong Postgres skills, indexing, query tuning
• Experience with scaling and reliability
Nice to Have
• AWS architecture
• Docker, Kubernetes
• Queues (SQS, RabbitMQ)
• Security best practices
