Job Description

Own the technical vision for a platform serving 34,000 schools and 11 million
athletes.

**TeamStats HQ is building the operating system for youth sports** — starting
with basketball and expanding across 20+ sports. The product has been **fully
designed** (hundreds of screens, working prototype, functional demo) by a
founder who scaled a previous company to $15M revenue. Seed round in progress
with capital committed. This is the first technical hire.

You'll own:

* Architecture and stack decisions — no committee, no legacy code
* A real-time scorekeeping engine with live play-by-play and analytics
* A configurable sport framework supporting 20+ sports with different formats, scoring, and stat models
* A multi-persona platform serving coaches, players, parents, and school administrators
* The engineering hiring roadmap — you build your own team

This starts as a lead engineering role. The ceiling is CTO, earned through
delivery.

Compensation: Competitive salary (activated at fundraise milestone) +
meaningful equity on a 4-year vest. Starting equity reflects the role at hire.
Performance unlocks additional grants and expanded scope. Deferred comp
structure available for pre-salary period.
