**The Role:**
Founding AE / Strategic AE / Regional Sales Director for a cybersecurity
startup.
We’re making penetration testing, vulnerability assessments, bug bounties, and
more, both easier-to-use and faster for organizations of all sizes and
budgets.
We’re able to do this via our unique platform-first approach that reduces
inefficiencies (creating faster and easier setup / management), and improves
outcomes (quicker time to value / delivery).
At present, we offer five essential cybersecurity solutions - all of which are
delivered via our platform (with robust onboarding and delivery
functionality):
**Penetration Testing**
The industry standard for securing assets. Required as a part of PCI, HIPPA,
SOC2, and more. A qualified tester goes through a comprehensive methodology
and tests your scope for vulnerabilities for a set amount of time.
**Application Logic Assessments**
A high-level, human-driven security assessment of your scope by a qualified
tester. Not as in-depth as a penetration test, but generally finds 70-80% of
the results of a pentest in a fraction of the time.
**Platform-Managed Vulnerability Disclosure Programs (VDPs)**
Every organization needs to have a way for outside parties to be able to
responsibly report vulnerabilities. Our platform streamlines that process -
saving your team time and money.
**Platform-Managed Bug Bounties**
For organizations serious about reducing risk, running a bug bounty program is
the most effective means of identifying vulnerabilities at scale.
**Fractional Pentesting**
Access to penetration testing talent when and how you need it. Sometimes you
don't need a full pentest, but want access to a penetration tester. Fractional
pentesting allows for exactly that.
**The Opportunity:**
* We’ll train you as much as you’re interested in learning.
* If you need a feature to get a deal, we’re small and agile enough to be able to build and deliver quickly. You’re working directly with the buyers and have a pulse on what the market is asking for. If it’ll help close deals, we’re on-board.
* We’re open and flexible on title. We’d love to be part of your career development (e.g. Founding AE vs. Strategic AE vs. Regional Director, etc).
* 100% remote.
* Can be part or full time - whatever works best for you.
* We’re looking to bring on three North American AEs, loosely broken up by timezone (1) Pacific; (2) Mountain + Central; (3) Eastern - so, your territory will be substantial.
* There is no upper limit on how much you can earn.
* Equity is also an option, depending on performance.
* You set the price that works for you - enabling you to maximize your earning potential, while giving you control over how you sell. How does this work? In short:
* The role is 100% commission-based (e.g. no base pay).
* The pricing is determined by you. We’ve built exhaustive calculators and price books that will tell you our base / lowest cost on a given service. From there, you’re able to set the price as high or low as you see fit. Whatever you sell above the base price is yours to keep.
* For reference, our base prices are roughly half of what incumbents charge. Which is to say, that if you wanted to, you could take something with a base price of $5k, and sell it at the market rate of $10k - with your commission being the full $5k that you were able to sell on top. And that’s not hyperbole - our daily base rate for pentesting is literally half (or less) of the list price of the major players. To boot, we’re 80-90% cheaper when it comes to bug bounties and VDPS!
* We’ll provide a Sales Engineer for any calls where you may want or need them.
Penetration testing alone is a multi-billion dollar industry every year (not
to mention our other service lines). There is a ton of opportunity out there.
If you’re looking to get started in cybersecurity sales, or if you’ve been

**About You:**
Requirements:
* Highly motivated.
* Self-starter.
* Lifelong learner.
* Be located in North America.
* Speak and write English well enough to charm potential clients.
Other nice-to-haves include:
* If you’ve sold B2B SaaS.
* If you’ve sold cybersecurity.
That’s about it. If you’re good at sales and figuring things out, you’ll do
great! Again, organizations are doing billions of dollars in pentesting
business annually. It’s a big market, and we’re effectively commoditizing it.
We’ll arm you with as much information and tooling as you want or need, and
you take it from there!
