Setl is not another real estate tool — it *replaces *real estate agents
entirely.
We’re building the first end-to-end platform that automates property listings,
legal, marketing, inspections, and mortgage financing. Think: **Stripe or
Square for real estate transactions** — but with the margin of a full-stack
vertical SaaS.
Our goal: modernize the $100B+ real estate commission industry by turning
fragmented, agent-driven processes into a seamless experience buyers and
sellers can trust. We’ve completed the build of our MVP and raising a $5M seed
round.
**The Role**
As **CTO / Founding Engineer,** you'll:
* Own the product and engineering roadmap from MVP to scale
* Build a seamless real estate infrastructure layer (listings, legal, lenders, payments)
* Recruit and lead a small, elite engineering team
* Architect a secure, flexible platform that scales
* Work hand-in-hand with the founder on product, fundraising, hiring, and ops
**What You Bring**
* You’ve built or scaled a proptech, fintech, or marketplace startup
* You’ve worked across integrations: APIs, payments, legal workflows, or mortgage
* You care about product velocity and long-term architecture
* You’re as excited by execution as you are by the mission
* You think big and ship lean
**Bonus Points:**
* Experience at OpenDoor, Blend, LegalVision, Zillow, Redfin or similar
* Knowledge of U.S. real estate and compliance frameworks
* Previous startup or cofounder experience

**Compensation**
* Equity: Cofounder-level — open to negotiation
* Cash: Post-seed salary
* Other: Freedom to define technical culture and first hires
