education, and foster a supportive network for families navigating the
complexities of mental health treatment. We are an early-stage, mission-driven
startup poised for growth, and we’re looking for a Lead Full-Stack Developer
to help shape the future of our platform.
Job Overview
As the Lead Full-Stack Developer, you will be responsible for architecting,
building, and optimizing ReLeaf’s web and mobile platforms. You’ll lead the
technical direction, ensure scalability, and work closely with our product and
design teams to create an intuitive, secure, and accessible user experience.
This role is ideal for a hands-on, impact-driven developer passionate about
mental health technology and social impact.
Key Responsibilities
Architect & Develop: Design and implement scalable, secure, and HIPAA-
compliant web and mobile applications.
Tech Leadership: Set the technical vision, guide development best practices,
and lead engineering decisions.
Full-Stack Development: Build and maintain both front-end (React, Next.js, or
similar) and back-end (Node.js, Python, or similar) systems.
API Development & Integration: Design and optimize APIs for seamless
integration with third-party services.
Cloud & DevOps: Deploy, monitor, and maintain infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or
similar cloud platforms.
Security & Compliance: Implement HIPAA-compliant data security protocols and
ensure platform reliability.
Collaboration: Work closely with product, design, and stakeholder teams to
align technical development with user needs.
Mentorship & Growth: Build and mentor a development team as ReLeaf scales.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of full-stack development experience, preferably in startup or SaaS
environments.
Proficiency in modern frameworks (React, Vue, Angular) and backend
technologies (Node.js, Python, Ruby).
Experience with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Firebase) and cloud
infrastructure (AWS, GCP).
Deep understanding of security & compliance, particularly in healthcare
(HIPAA, data encryption, authentication).
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving
startup environment.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Nice to Have
Experience with mobile development (React Native, Flutter).
Previous work in mental health, healthcare tech, or social impact startups.
Familiarity with AI/ML for mental health support applications.
