**The Opportunity**
We're seeking a passionate UI Software Engineer to lead the development of our
cross-platform desktop application for Windows, macOS, and Linux. As an early
team member, you'll have a significant impact on the product's architecture
and user experience, working directly with the CTO to bring our vision to
life.
**What You’ll Do**
• Architect & Develop: Build a native-feeling desktop application across
Windows, macOS, and Linux platforms
• Framework Selection: Evaluate and implement the appropriate cross-platform
framework (Electron, Flutter, Mono, etc.) based on product needs
• UI Components: Design and develop modular, reusable UI components using
modern web technologies (React, Vue, TypeScript, etc.)
• Design Implementation: Translate high-fidelity designs (Figma) into pixel-
perfect, responsive, and performant UIs
• OS Integration: Ensure seamless integration with OS-level APIs and native
system behaviors across platforms
• Lifecycle Ownership: Manage the front-end lifecycle: design, development,
testing, deployment, and long-term support
• Quality Assurance: Prioritize software quality, performance, and
usability—automate where possible and implement necessary testing
• Collaboration: Work closely with a fast-paced, agile team; take initiative
and contribute across various aspects of the project
• User Advocacy: Continuously iterate and improve based on feedback, data, and
personal experience to enhance user satisfaction
**What We’re Looking For**
• 5+ years of experience building high-quality user interfaces for desktop or
web platforms
• Proven experience developing cross-platform desktop applications
• Strong skills in front-end technologies including JavaScript/TypeScript,
HTML5, CSS3
• Hands-on experience with one or more multi-platform frameworks (e.g.,
Electron, Flutter, Tauri, Qt)
• Familiarity with native system APIs and integrations on Windows/macOS/Linux
• Experience working with design tools and systems—especially Figma
• Deep understanding of UI architecture patterns and scalable component
libraries
• Proactive, resourceful, comfortable with ambiguity, and relentlessly focused
on delivering value
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
**Nice to Haves**
• Experience with performance optimization, memory management, or low-level
system integrations
• Background in financial planning, mergers and acquisitions, or data-heavy
interfaces
• Contributions to open source projects or a personal portfolio of relevant
work
