hands-on technical leader to help scale Moon from a strong early-stage company
to a dominant force in global fintech. You’ll own architecture, hiring, and
execution—and work directly with our technical founder to build the financial
infrastructure of the future.

accessibility, privacy, and freedom around the world. We build on Bitcoin,
stablecoins, the Lightning Network, and traditional fiat rails.
We’re post-product, post-revenue, backed by top investors, and scaling fast

### About the Team
You’ll be entering an environment where infrastructure is deployed properly,
CI/CD is implemented, tests are written, and good practices have been followed
with few exceptions. You’ll work with a sharp team, a technical founder, and
even non-technical roles filled with people who can code.

### What You’ll Do
* Own system design and architecture
* Lead a high-performing remote engineering team
* Provide technical leadership and ensure delivery of high-quality code
* Collaborate with exec leadership to align engineering strategy with company goals
* Maintain software quality, reliability, and performance
* Design and implement backend architecture and DevOps
* Ship product and lead meaningful code reviews
* Hire and scale the team as we grow
* Mentor engineers and support their career growth
You’ll tackle complex problems in distributed payments, crypto-fiat
interoperability, and real-time transaction processing. You’ll ship product,
lead people, and define the future of finance — **no bureaucratic BS**.

### What We’re Looking For
### Leadership
* 5+ years leading high-performing engineering teams
* Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
* Experience working in agile product teams
### DevOps / Cloud Infrastructure
* AWS (EC2, EBS, ELB, RDS, Lambda)
* Autoscaling, load balancing, and security at scale
* CI/CD systems like GitLab, Jenkins, TeamCity
### Backend (Node.js / TypeScript)
* Event loop, async patterns, modular architecture
* Secure coding and strong test coverage (unit/integration/e2e)
* Familiarity with npm ecosystem and performance best practices
### Frontend (React)
* Component-based architecture
* Reusable, loosely-coupled code
* Strong testing culture
* Bonus: React Native, browser extension development
### Technical Ownership
* Strong code reviewer and mentor
* Eye for good UX/UI
* Infra experience (EC2, Nginx, RDS, Git, S3, SQS)
### Production Operations
* Incident response experience
* Monitoring (Datadog, New Relic)
* Logging tools (Kibana, Papertrail, etc.)
