Job Description

There is a multi-trillion-dollar gap in healthcare that everyone can see and
no one has closed. Not because it's unknown. Because closing it requires a
system that the entire industry has quietly decided is too hard to build.
We're building it.

We are a few weeks old, aspiring to be one of the most consequential companies
in healthcare, and assembling a very small team of people who are unreasonably
good at making agentic systems do real work in the messiest domain there is.
Systems that take an action in the real world and prove the outcome actually
happened, across organizations that were never designed to talk to each other.

**Why this role**
We are small enough that the person we bring on now builds the core of the
product, not the edges of it. You will not inherit a mature codebase and file
tickets against it. You will help write the thing that everything else gets
built on top of. The surface area you own on day one is larger than the
surface area you'd touch in two years at a company with a name you'd
recognize.

**What you 'd own**
Real systems, end to end. You take a hard problem in the morning, talk to the
people who actually feel it, and ship the fix before it goes stale. You'll
work directly next to people who have built harder versions of this before,
and the whole point is that you get better fast.

**Who you are**

* You're a strong builder who ships. You've owned real production systems and you're the person others trust to get the hard piece done, not just the assigned piece.
* You care that software is correct, not just that it runs. In this domain "close enough" is how people fall through the cracks.
* You're fluent in agentic systems and LLM orchestration, or you're clearly the engineer who learns by building the hard thing.
* You're comfortable when the data lies, the integrations fight back, and the happy path is a myth. Messy real-world domains energize you rather than exhaust you.
* You want to move faster and own more than your current seat allows, and you're betting on yourself to grow into a much bigger role as this scales.

**The honest part**
It's early. The repo is small. Some of what you build, you'll rebuild. You'll
talk to customers more than you expect and write less throwaway code than you
fear. What's on the other side is founding equity, ownership you can't get
anywhere else at your level right now, and a front-row seat next to people
you'll learn a lot from, on a problem worth the next decade.

**Compensation and logistics**

* Founding equity, calibrated to the candidate. Exact terms shared with finalists.
* You must be authorized to work in the United States. We are not able to sponsor visas at this time.
* Process: intro call with a founder and technical deep dive on something you've built.
