Job Description

Heliqon is an AI-native manufacturing intelligence platform helping mid-market
and SMB manufacturers stop firefighting and run their operations with real-
time clarity. Our target market is ~80,000 manufacturers across the U.S.,
Canada, and the EU—companies that power the real economy but are underserved
by legacy ERP/MES stacks and point solutions.

We sell into manufacturers where the problems are mission-critical (scheduling
volatility, disconnected systems, hidden inefficiencies). Projected ACV is 6–7
figures annually, and we’re currently piloting with 4 manufacturers while also
beginning our partnerships with NVIDIA and manufacturing groups. This is an
opportunity to help build a foundational product in a category that can
materially impact manufacturing performance—and by extension, global GDP.

**The Role**
We’re looking for a Fullstack Developer who can build across the stack in
TypeScript, ship production-grade features, and think in systems. You’ll be
the second engineering hire and work closely with the founders and early team
to turn real-world manufacturing workflows into product experiences that
operators and leadership trust.

You’ll build UI, APIs, and data flows end-to-end—often iterating quickly with
pilot customers—while keeping an eye on scalability, correctness, and
maintainability.

**Who You’ll Build For (Our Customer)**
Our customers are mid-market and SMB manufacturers (roughly $50M–$5B revenue)
operating with a mix of ERP, spreadsheets, email, tribal knowledge, and
disconnected systems. They need software that:
● Works in messy real-world environments
● Provides visibility and decision support, not dashboards nobody uses
● Integrates with existing tools and data sources
● Helps teams reduce labor inefficiency, avoid downtime, and improve
throughput
You’ll help build software that becomes part of the operating rhythm of a
factory.

**What You’ll Do**
● Build and ship full-stack features using React + Node.js/Express +
TypeScript
● Design and implement APIs (REST and/or GraphQL) and integrate with external
systems
● Own data models and database interactions (SQL-first mindset)
● Improve product usability and performance with thoughtful frontend
engineering
● Collaborate directly with pilot customers to validate workflows and iterate
quickly
● Establish clean patterns for architecture, testing, deployment, and
observability as we
scale
● Contribute to engineering practices (PR reviews, code quality, docs,
developer
experience)

**Must-Have Experience**
● TypeScript on both frontend and backend
● Built full-stack projects (React + Node.js/Express)
● Comfortable with databases (SQL) and APIs (REST or GraphQL)
● Basic understanding of deployment/hosting
● Proficiency with Git workflows (branching, PRs, code review)

**Nice-to-Have Experience**
● Next.js full-stack features (Server Actions, API routes)
● Authentication implementation (JWT, OAuth)
● Docker/containerization basics
● Testing across the stack (unit/integration/e2e)

**What We’re Looking For (How You Work)**
● T-shaped skills: deep in one area, strong working ability across the rest
● Systems thinking: understands data flow end-to-end and designs for reality
● Self-directed learner: resourceful, curious, fast to pick up new
patterns/tools
● Comfortable context-switching between frontend and backend without losing
quality

**Why This Role Is Different**
● You’ll build with direct customer feedback (real factories, real
constraints)
● You’ll work on a product with enterprise-level ACV and outcomes that matter
● You’ll help shape an AI-native platform in a massive, under-served market
● You’ll join early enough to meaningfully influence product, architecture,
and culture
