users end-to-end. Backed by early traction and institutional partnerships,
we’re entering our next phase of AI product development—and we’re hiring the
person to lead it.

**The Role**
We’re hiring our first Head of AI Research to define, lead, and scale our
applied research function. You’ll own the evolution of Grantx’s AI agent
architecture, drive core innovations in information retrieval and grant-
writing models, and partner with engineering to ship productized research.

**What You’ll Do**

* Architect Grantx’s AI research roadmap with a focus on Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic workflows, and microservices.
* Lead development of proprietary ranking, summarization, and generation models across the grant lifecycle.
* Build scalable experimentation pipelines to test new LLM techniques and reinforcement strategies.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering and product to ensure research translates into user-facing value.
* Publish, patent, or open source strategically, aligned with company goals and defensibility.

**You Might Be a Fit If You**

* Have a strong research and deployment background (AI/ML/NLP) with 2+ years in applied AI, ideally in startup or lean R&D environments.
* Have hands-on experience deploying large language models in production, especially in RAG, auto-evaluation, or workflow automation contexts.
* Know how to lead without over-building—translating cutting-edge research into pragmatic systems.
* Thrive in uncertainty and want to help define a new category.

**Compensation**

* Equity: 8% equity in Grantx, structured within our Class A and Class B stock framework.
* Cash: $250,000 deferred comp, vesting over four years.
* Eligible for cash bonuses post-Seed raise and structured for participation in upside liquidity events.
