Apply**About Float**
We’re building infrastructure that makes it dramatically easier for consumers
to use FSA/HSA dollars where they already shop (helping folks save up to 40%
on healthcare expenses) – without changing checkout flows or introducing new
payment methods. V1 of the product, which is live today, serves thousands of
users across real merchant integrations. We’re now at an inflection point,
where we are gearing up to serve millions of users, and we’re looking for
strong, product-minded engineers to help us do it.
**The Role**
We’re looking for a Full-Stack Software Engineer who enjoys owning features
end-to-end — from backend APIs and integrations to user-facing experiences —
and who’s excited to build infrastructure that sits at the intersection of
fintech, healthcare, and e-commerce. This is a hands-on role with real
ownership. You’ll work on production systems, ship frequently, and collaborate
directly with founders, designers, and partner engineering teams.
**What You’ll Do**
* Build, test, and ship production-grade backend services and web applications
* Design and maintain integrations with merchant platforms (Shopify today; Wix, Stripe, and custom APIs next)
* Work directly with partner engineering teams to scope, implement, and debug integrations
* Build internal tools and consumer-facing experiences that make FSA/HSA savings feel invisible and automatic
* Operate and improve systems running on GCP
* Help evolve our architecture, tooling, and engineering practices as we scale
**Who You Are**
* 3–5 years of software engineering experience, ideally across the full stack
* Strong experience with React.js and Python
* Experience working with third-party APIs, OAuth flows, and webhooks
* Comfort owning features from design through production
* Clear communicator who enjoys collaborating across teams
* High ownership mindset and excitement for early-stage environments
**Why Float**
* Your work will directly shape how millions of people access affordable healthcare.
* You’ll own projects end-to-end and help define our technical culture.
* You’ll work with a small, thoughtful team that values velocity, craft, and impact over hierarchy.
