**Lead Enterprise Architect**

My client is America’s largest supplier of building materials, value-added
components and building services to the professional market. They are
currently seeking a **100% remote** **Lead Enterprise Architect** to join its
**Corporate Enterprise Architecture** team. This person will help define and
execute the company's long-term enterprise technology strategy. This
enterprise-level leadership role partners closely with executive leadership
and business stakeholders to establish architecture standards, modernize
technology platforms, and drive innovation across business, data,
applications, cloud, security, and integration domains.
The ideal candidate is an experienced enterprise architect with a strong
background in cloud technologies, enterprise applications, SAP/ERP ecosystems,
API-driven architectures, and IT governance. This individual will influence
enterprise-wide technology decisions, lead architecture governance, and help
shape the future technology landscape for the nation's largest supplier of
building materials.
**Responsibilities:**
* Lead the enterprise architecture strategy across business, application, data, cloud, integration, and security domains.
* Partner with business and IT leadership to translate business objectives into scalable technology solutions.
* Establish and govern enterprise architecture standards, frameworks, principles, and best practices.
* Review and approve solution designs to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and technology roadmaps.
* Drive modernization initiatives including API-first, event-driven, cloud-native, and composable architecture strategies.
* Research, evaluate, and implement emerging technologies that improve business capabilities, operational efficiency, and customer experience.
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
* 12+ years of enterprise, solution, or technology architecture experience supporting large-scale IT initiatives.
* 5+ years designing enterprise-grade solutions and 3+ years leading Architecture Review Boards (ARB).
* Strong experience with SAP or modern ERP platforms, cloud architecture, enterprise integrations, and API-led solutions.
* Proven success developing enterprise architecture governance, application portfolio strategies, and technology roadmaps.
* Excellent executive communication, stakeholder management, strategic planning, and cross-functional leadership skills.
