Job Description

Cross Field is a software development agency looking for an experienced Senior
Software Engineer based in the United States to join our team and work on a
variety of client-facing web projects.

The ideal candidate has strong full-stack development experience, can work
independently, and is comfortable collaborating with designers, project
managers, and other engineers to deliver reliable, maintainable software.

Responsibilities
Build and maintain modern web applications
Develop frontend and backend features
Work with existing codebases and improve application quality
Integrate third-party APIs and services
Review requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
Participate in code reviews and technical planning
Troubleshoot bugs and production issues
Communicate progress clearly with the internal team
Support multiple client projects as needed
Requirements
Based in the United States
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
At least 5 years of senior-level software engineering experience
Strong experience with Python, C#, JavaScript or TypeScript
Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React or Next.js
Backend development experience with Node.js, Python, or similar technologies
Experience with relational databases and REST APIs
Strong understanding of Git, testing, deployment, and software development
best practices
Excellent written and verbal English communication
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Nice to Have
Experience working for a software agency or consulting company
Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
Experience with CI/CD, Docker, and production deployments
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools
Experience managing multiple projects or clients

applications and contribute to long-term client projects.
