**About The Company**
We’re tackling one of healthcare’s most important unsolved problems: improving
how patients access and navigate care within an increasingly fragmented
system.
We believe the next generation of healthcare products, operational platforms,
and AI experiences will be built on entirely new infrastructure layers that do
not exist today.
The founding team’s heritage is rooted in health-tech with over 12 years of
combined experience solving patient flow challenges for Fortune 100 companies
and startups alike. The Founder and CEO previously served as the CTO at a
large multi-national pharmaceutical company where they scaled an innovation
lab from 0 to 300 individuals and raised 9-figures in funding to deliver
exceptional experiences built atop a modern technology stack.
We’re searching for a highly motivated Founding Engineer interested in
outsized ownership over architecture and product development who will help
shape the technical foundation of an important company.
**About You**
You may be an engineer who has spent years building products for other
companies and is ready to help build one you truly own a piece of. You’re
likely entrepreneurial by nature and prefer the energy, urgency, and ownership
that come with building a startup.
This role isn’t for those looking for a side hustle or those hedging their
bets by putting another iron in the fire. You should be deeply attracted to a
founding team opportunity where your dedication and time commitment represent
an “all-in” mindset. Below are some specific hard and soft skills we’re
evaluating for.
**Hard skills** :
* You’re highly experienced with Python, TypeScript, and the common libraries and frameworks associated with these languages.
* You're adept at building for the cloud (e.g. AWS, GCP) via IaC (e.g. Terraform) using CI/CD workflows (e.g. GitHub Actions).
* You’re comfortable operating at both the architectural and implementation layers, using coding agents where they create leverage and stepping in directly where precision, taste, and technical judgement matter.
* Experience building low-latency, high-throughput APIs with excellent customer documentation to support.
* You understand data structures and modeling. Relational and non-relational databases. You can write SQL and you also know when and how to leverage an ORM.
* You’ve built products/agents that fundamentally rely on LLMs and you’re familiar with the APIs of major frontier models.
* You lean heavy backend but are familiar with and can contribute to front-end (e.g. React, TanStack, Next.js, shadcn, Tailwind) when needed.
* You’re accustomed to working and collaborating in tools like Slack, Linear, Notion, Miro, Loom, Figma, LLMs, and AI coding platforms such as Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.
* Strong preference for those who have built/experimented with real-time conversational AI systems. Experience with STT/TTS voice models and frameworks like ElevenLabs, LiveKit, Cartesia, and AssemblyAI would be strongly preferred. Even better if you’ve deployed and scaled these latency-sensitive voice AI systems in production.
* Bonus if you’ve been building in healthcare/health-tech.
* Bonus if you’ve worked on MCP servers or agent infrastructure that handles long-running operations, background task orchestration, polling/webhook patterns, or real-time progress notifications. If you’ve done similar but with API vs MCP, your skills should translate.
* Bonus if you’ve done a startup prior, whether your own or someone else's. It makes little difference to us whether or not it was successful.
**Soft skills**
* You’re not political, you’re about the work and forward momentum.
* High motor, with a bias for action. Unphased by 0-to-1 work and loose requirements.
* You’re emotionally mature. When things get hard you show up and communicate vs isolate and go silent.
* You’ve got high standards and want to work with others who have the same.
* You understand the value of speed and the avoidance of gold-plating in an early stage company while still not painting the business into a corner with technical decisions that are difficult to unwind.
* You’re generally optimistic.
* You have a relentless, burning desire to build and make an impact. This may stem from your upbringing, a desire to prove to the world that you can build great things, or maybe it’s something innate that you can’t quite explain.
* You love what you do, you’re genuinely passionate about AI and the things you read, watch and listen to represent that.
**Why Join**
* Broad foundational ownership over the architecture, infrastructure, and technical direction of the company from day one.
* Significant early equity in a company positioned at the intersection of AI, healthcare infrastructure, and real-world operational automation.
* The opportunity to work on technically difficult, high-leverage problems involving distributed systems, asynchronous workflows, agentic infrastructure, voice AI, and healthcare interoperability.
* Close collaboration with an experienced founding team spanning product, design, operations, healthcare, and enterprise scale execution.
* A rare opportunity to help define an entirely new category of infrastructure within one of the world’s largest industries.
* Clear room to grow into long-term technical leadership as the company scales.
* The ability to move quickly without layers of bureaucracy, process theater, or organizational drag.
**Compensation**
This role includes a founding team-stage compensation package + equity
proportionate to your level of experience and anticipated contribution. We
plan to close our pre-seed round in the coming months, at which point
compensation would be reviewed, converting to a standard salary + benefits
package.
The role is best suited to someone specifically looking for a true company-
building opportunity with significant long-term upside.
