Job Description

The Head of Product translates Abaxx's company strategy into executable
product direction across its technology ecosystem, serving as the connective
tissue between market needs, regulatory requirements, customer workflows,
legal frameworks, and engineering execution. This role operates at the
convergence of financial market infrastructure, digital identity, legal
documentation and digital title, clearing and collateral operations, AI and
agent systems, and enterprise workflow automation — a scope that demands deep
systems thinking and the ability to convert significant complexity into
engineering-ready specifications. The ideal candidate brings direct domain
fluency in one or more of these areas, not just transferable product skills.

This is a deliberately horizontal role. Commercial business leaders own
product strategy and P&L for their respective markets; the Head of Product
owns the shared platform capabilities those businesses depend on, ensuring
applications, identity infrastructure, and AI systems work coherently across
every commercial motion. Enterprise identity federation — SAML, OIDC, SCIM,
and directory integration — is the gating constraint on every enterprise sales
cycle, and this role owns the identity roadmap with the expectation that it
stays ahead of commercial demand. The right candidate can walk into a room
with a clearing operations team, a regulator, a fund administrator, legal
counsel, and engineers — and leave with a requirements document that everyone
agrees on. They are ultimately accountable for ensuring that the right
products are built, in the right order, for the right reasons.

**Key Responsibilities**

Product strategy

* Define product strategy across the Abaxx platform ecosystem.
* Align product initiatives with corporate objectives and the commercial roadmap of each business unit.
* Prioritise investments across competing initiatives, ensuring no single business captures roadmap priorities at the expense of others.
* Maintain a coherent long term product roadmap across MarketOS applications, identity infrastructure, the collateral platform, and AI systems.

Requirements and product definition

* Convert business objectives into actionable, engineering ready requirements.
* Produce clear product specifications, user journeys, and operational workflows.
* Eliminate ambiguity before engineering execution begins.

Customer and market engagement

* Gather feedback from customers, partners, exchanges, clearing firms, fund administrators, and regulators.
* Identify market opportunities and inform competitive positioning.
* Validate product market fit for emerging products and support strategic commercial initiatives.

Cross functional leadership

* Coordinate product direction across engineering, infrastructure, legal, operations, and commercial teams.
* Resolve conflicting priorities and maintain organisational alignment.
* Partner with the Head of Engineering as a peer on platform versus feature prioritisation, with shared accountability for velocity, technical debt, and architectural trade offs.

Product delivery

* Own product backlog prioritisation and define release objectives.
* Ensure requirements remain aligned with business goals through the build cycle.
* Measure product outcomes, adoption, and stakeholder alignment.

Enterprise IAM readiness

* Identity federation (SAML, OIDC, SCIM, directory connectors) is the gating constraint on every enterprise sales cycle. Own the identity roadmap and ensure it stays ahead of commercial demand, not behind it.

Talent and team

* In year one, operate as the senior individual contributor and translator across the organisation, with selective product management hires to support specific surface areas.
* Build and develop the product organisation as the function scales, with active mentorship of internal product talent into senior roles.

**Required**

* 10+ years of product leadership experience, with a record of shipping complex B2B or infrastructure products in regulated or operationally intensive domains.
* Strong understanding of software architecture and engineering processes. You can hold your own in a technical design conversation and think about engineering velocity, debt, and architectural trade offs alongside feature delivery.
* Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executives, engineers, regulators, and customers, often in the same meeting.
* Experience producing detailed requirements and product specifications that engineering teams can execute against without significant rework.
* Strong analytical and systems thinking capabilities. Comfort operating in genuinely ambiguous environments where the requirement is not yet known and your job is to define it.
* Direct experience with enterprise sales cycles where procurement, security review (SOC 2, ISO 27001), legal review, and IAM integration are gating constraints. You have personally walked deals through these processes and know where they break.
* Ability to travel; requiring regular travel of approximately six to eight trips per year to Singapore plus periodic visits to other geographies.

Strongly preferred - Background in one or more of the following:

* Capital markets, exchanges, clearing systems, or commodity trading
* Financial market infrastructure and post trade systems
* Enterprise identity systems and authentication platforms (W3C DID/VC, OAuth/OIDC, enterprise IAM)
* AI products and agent systems, particularly in enterprise or regulated contexts
* Workflow automation systems
* Regulatory technology and the compliance frame around financial services identity (KYC, AML, MAS Notice 626, OFAC)
* Digital asset infrastructure and digital title or tokenisation frameworks
