rely on 30+ year old processes running on QuickBooks Desktop, and pen-and-
paper workflows. Following an unprecedented global pandemic, modernizing the
food supply chain has become more urgent than ever to stabilize food costs and
improve access to quality food.
To validate our vision, Clipp recently raised a $2MM oversubscribed pre-seed
from a leading VC with food & beverage specialists, alongside various
operators in food supply and restaurant groups

**💪 Who We’re Looking For**
We’re seeking a Tech Lead with a strong focus on backend development and
infrastructure to join our small but passionate team. You will play a pivotal
role in building and scaling the Clipp platform, working closely with the
cofounders to drive both technical and strategic initiatives.
**♥️ What we’d love to see in you**
**Experience**
* 7+ years of software engineering experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
* Proven track record of leading at least two software products from inception to scalability, tackling challenges like performance, security, and maintainability.
* Hands-on experience building SaaS platforms, with a deep understanding of backend development and infrastructure.
* Experience utilizing Agile methodology to deliver complex software projects.
**Technical Skills**
* Proficiency in NodeJS, TypeScript, AWS, REST, GraphQL, infrastructure-as-code and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
* Strong familiarity with system design, data modeling, APIs, and cloud-based architecture.
**Mindset**
* A commitment to writing clean, scalable code while mentoring and guiding other engineers.
* Customer-centric approach, striving to deliver experiences that delight users.
**Bonus Points**
* Background in e-commerce or the restaurant industry.
* Experience working with payment processing providers.

**⌨️ What You’ll Do**
As our Tech Lead, you’ll help shape Clipp’s technical vision and execution.
Your responsibilities will include:
* **Hands-On Coding** : Write high-quality, scalable code and conduct code reviews while providing technical mentorship.
* **System Design & Development**: Design and implement Clipp’s backend, infrastructure, and API layers, collaborating with engineers and designers to create a seamless platform.
* **Leadership** : Define and execute the technical roadmap, balancing technical debt with business objectives.
* **Collaboration** : Work closely with cofounders on product strategy and deliver technical solutions aligned with customer needs.
* **Process Improvement** : Develop and refine engineering processes, tools, and workflows to maximize team efficiency and product quality.
