Job Description

**About Tradable**

Tradable is a next-generation private asset platform and investment
marketplace. We simplify syndication, deal management and tokenization
workflows for asset managers and provide investors access to the best liquid,
institutional-grade private assets.

**Why Tradable?**

* Build at the intersection of private market operations and modern cloud infrastructure.
* Work on production systems that power onboarding, compliance-aware workflows, and investor reporting.
* Join a team focused on making private asset syndication and deal management workflows simpler and liquidity more accessible.

**The Role**

We’re hiring a **Software Engineer** with strong backend skills in **Python**
and hands-on experience with **Docker** and the **AWS** stack (ECS, Lambda,
EC2, CloudFront, S3, RDS). You’ll design, build, and operate services that are
observable, secure, and resilient—supporting real customers and real capital
flows.

**What you’ll do**

* Design and implement backend services and APIs in **Python** (FastAPI/Flask or similar).
* Containerize and ship with **Docker** ; deploy to **AWS** (ECS/Fargate, Lambda, EC2).
* Build robust data access layers for **PostgreSQL/MySQL** ; tune queries and indexes.
* Add first-class **observability** (structured logging, metrics, tracing) to detect and fix production issues quickly.
* Improve **CI/CD** pipelines, automated testing, and safe rollout practices (feature flags, canaries).
* Implement **security** and **compliance** guardrails (authN/Z, secrets management, least privilege IAM, audit logging).
* Partner with product and design to scope, estimate, and deliver iteratively.
* Participate in on-call/incident response with a focus on prevention, MTTR reduction, and post-mortems.

**What we are looking for**

* **Startup bias** : Experience shipping at a venture-backed startup or similar high-growth environment.
* **4+ years** of full-time software engineering experience building production systems.
* Strong **Python** fundamentals; experience with one web framework (e.g., **FastAPI** ).
* Proficiency with **Docker** and containerized workflows.
* Practical **AWS** experience: ECS/Fargate, Lambda, EC2, S3, CloudFront, CloudWatch, IAM; Terraform/CDK is a plus.
* Solid SQL ( **PostgreSQL** /MySQL) familiarity; NoSQL is a plus.
* RESTful API design, pagination, rate limiting, caching, and performance profiling.
* Commitment to **testing** , code reviews, and **observability** (logs/metrics/traces). Clear communication; comfortable collaborating async in a remote team.

**Nice to have**

* Fintech/financial-services exposure (payments, KYC/AML, brokerage, lending, fund operations).
* Event-driven architectures (SQS/SNS/EventBridge), streaming (Kinesis/Kafka), or data pipelines.
* Security-minded development (threat modeling, OWASP, IAM best practices).
* Experience with **Docker-based local dev** and reproducible environments.
* Familiarity with tokenization/web3 concepts (wallets, on-chain events).

**How we work**

* Small teams, short cycles, measurable outcomes.
* Pragmatic engineering: feature flags, safe rollouts, and “you build it, you own it.”
* Remote-first with periodic in-person collaboration.

**What we offer**

* Competitive salary and meaningful equity.
* Company contributions to medical, dental, and vision coverage.
* 401(k)
* Flexible PTO and company holidays.
* Offsites and team days.
