**About Strac**
At [Strac](https://strac.io), we scan, discover, classify and remediate
sensitive data like PII, SSN, Drivers License, Passport, ID Documents, PCI
(Card), Bank Details, Credentials (Secrets, Password, OAuth tokens), Source
Code, etc. across SaaS, Cloud and Endpoint devices.

Our founding engineering team are from Amazon where each of us spent more than
10 years in Payments building their widgets, APIs and infrastructure. Most
recently, we built their Payment Secure Zone on AWS that stored and managed
billions of cards and bank accounts.

**About The Role**
As a Senior Software Engineer at Strac, you'll build cutting-edge full-stack
technologies that will transform the way businesses classify and redact
sensitive data across various platforms. Through high ownership, you’ll help
expand our product offering to cover more third-party integrations. You'll
work closely with core platform engineers to connect these integrations in a
concise, scalable, and resilient manner.

This is a Remote role.

**Responsibilities**

* Design, develop, and maintain backend, full-stack platform solutions, focusing on security, compliance, scalability, and performance
* Participate in code reviews, contribute to team knowledge sharing, and maintain technical documentation
* Write clean, scalable code using programming languages such as JavaScript, Java, Python, Go, and C
* Work within AWS cloud architecture, designing and deploying scalable services

**Minimum Qualifications**

* Production proficiency with Python, JavaScript and Java
* Strong knowledge of API and Platform architectures
* 6 years of full-time experience as an individual contributor
* Solid understanding of AWS services (Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, SQS, S3, etc.)
* Strong problem-solving and communication skills
* Excellent ability to work in a collaborative and high-ownership environment
* B.A. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
