### Senior Software Engineer
Seedless generates fictional data using AI agents that simulate human
behavior, enabling organizations in legal, healthcare/pharma and finance to
safely demo, train, and test enterprise AI tools. We're solving a critical
problem: data scarcity is blocking enterprise AI adoption, particularly in
highly regulated industries where privacy regulations and sensitivities around
customer data prevent companies from using their own data.
We're now hiring a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering Team to
help us execute deeper into our Product Roadmap and scale the platform for our
rapidly growing pipeline of established and prospective customers.
### The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer at Seedless, you'll own the design,
implementation, and deployment of major platform features from end to end.
You'll translate high-level architectural guidance into production-ready
systems that power our AI-driven data generation platform. This is a high-
impact role where you'll make critical technical decisions, build scalable
infrastructure, and work directly with both technical and non-technical
stakeholders to bring new features to production.
This role requires an exceptional ownership mentality. In a fast-moving
startup environment, you'll need to proactively identify technical gaps, spot
opportunities for improvement, and take initiative on critical work that needs
to get done—whether or not it falls within your formal job description. We
need someone who sees what's needed next and makes it happen.
### Key Responsibilities
### Feature Ownership & Delivery
* Own complete features from design/implementation through deployment and monitoring
* Make sound technical decisions independently while collaborating on larger architectural choices
* Ship high-quality code that meets performance, reliability, and security standards
### Systems Engineering
* Design and build scalable systems for AI-driven data generation
* Model complex business domains (ERP, HRIS, CRM, financial systems) in software
* Architect solutions that balance technical excellence with business pragmatism
* Optimize system performance and manage infrastructure costs
### Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Work closely with the Commercial Team to understand customer needs
* Translate non-technical requirements into technical specifications
* Communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders
* Contribute to product decisions based on technical feasibility and tradeoffs
### Proactive Ownership
* Identify and take ownership of critical technical work areas as the company grows
* Take initiative on infrastructure improvements, tooling, and technical debt
* Spot opportunities to improve development velocity and system reliability
### Qualifications
### Required Experience & Skills
* Strong systems thinking and ability to model complex business domains in software
* Proven track record of owning and shipping complete features independently
* Experience making sound technical decisions with minimal oversight
* Strong collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical team members
* Excellent written and verbal communication for technical documentation and stakeholder updates
* Entrepreneurial self-starter who proactively identifies and owns work without waiting for formal assignments
* Comfort working independently in an evolving, flexible startup environment
### Technical Foundation
* Deep understanding of backend systems, databases, and API design
* Experience with modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, Docker, Terraform)
* Strong grasp of data modeling, system architecture, and performance optimization
* Experience building AI-powered systems using modern tools and patterns (RAG, prompt engineering, vector databases, embeddings, tokenization, LLM APIs)
### Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with Python/Django or similar backend web frameworks
* Background in AI/ML systems or data-intensive applications
* Domain knowledge in regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, pharma, financial services)
* Startup or high-growth environment experience

**Location:** Remote (Philadelphia or Mid-Atlantic based preferred) with
travel to Philadelphia for team meetings
