**Company Description**

Nucona is a tech nonprofit specializing in software-based nutrition solutions
that leverage real-time shopping environments, both online and offline, along
with cash-back rewards, to guide shoppers to better food choices. Nucona
focuses primarily on underserved and at-risk populations across the US, aiming
to improve nutrition and health through accessible technology. Future plans
include developing similar products for financial wellness.

**Opportunity**

We are currently a team of 5 full time engineers and one coding product
manager, trying to tackle a technically challenging but highly rewarding task
of improving people's daily health habits through real-time financial
interventions and guidance in areas that are most difficult to address, such
as nutrition. While we have a strong ML/AI team with local presence, our app
side needs a bit of local representation, hands-on help and oversight. This
role could morph into a Cofounder / CTO position for a qualified individual.

**Role Description**

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior JavaScript Engineer with
CTO/Cofounder potential. You will be responsible for both front-end and back-
end web development, implementing and maintaining software solutions, and
utilizing TypeScript and Node.js to create efficient and scalable web and
mobile applications.

**Qualifications**

* Solid grasp of TypeScript and Node.js
* Experience with full-stack web or mobile development
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setting
* Experience in nonprofits or health-related tech is a plus
* Management experience a plus
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
* Bay Area applicants only
