Key Responsibilities:
Web Development:
Set up and integrate REST API functionality.
Familiarity with Flourish Charts integration for performance visualization.
Strong understanding of API integrations (Salesforce Essentials, BambooHR,
Cloudflare, Docusign Pro, Guilded, NextCloud, QuickBooks Pro).
Experience with server setup and management (Digital Ocean Droplet File
Server).
Familiarity with Okta SSO and Experience in Implementing authentication
systems and secure backend workflows.
Mobile App Development:
Proficient in Flutter for app development and Firebase for backend
integration.
Experience with Hive for shopping cart memory.
Knowledge of Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications
Intranet Development:
Experience with integrating intranet APIs (Asana, Gusto, Simple In/Out,
QuickBooks Pro, Tax Jar, Trello).
· Project Management & Communication:
Ability to collaborate effectively with front-end developers and project
stakeholders.
Proactive in troubleshooting, debugging, and testing across all milestones.
Strong organizational skills to meet deadlines for multiple deliverables.
· Problem-Solving & Intuition:
Capable of identifying potential challenges in API integrations and suggesting
viable solutions.
Ability to work with limited initial documentation by leveraging intuition and
past experience.
Notes about the Role:
· This is a mid-stream deferred compensation role that transitions to a full-
time role within the organization (our parent). Cash compensation for the role
accrues at face value for the remaining duration of time during which the MVP
is being built and is payable to employee 90 days following the app launch
date on the iTunes store.
· The upper-end of the compensation band is well above $140k (see below)
· The project is currently approximately 50% completed including all
architecture and preliminary API integrations
· Following completion / launch, in addition to deferred comp, the role
transitions to a salaried position based on U.S. labor rates vs. offshore.
· Company is a subsidiary of a family office private equity firm run by a
Harvard Business School alum
· Following completion of this project, ownership of other projects for
companies within the parent's portfolio will become an option (next project is
a luxury boutique hotel in Mexico).
· A royalty stream from sales is a component of compensation - this stream can
continue post employment depending on terms - you earn more as the company is
successful in its sales efforts versus just one-off contract work. It is
possible that the royalty income exceeds cash compensation amount.
· You will be expected to manage one Jr. Full Stack developer who can assist
on the web side and as a liaison between dev and marketing/creative teams
· Domestic (U.S. only for now, U.K. later this year) benefits are offered to
all salaried employees including medical, dental, vision and the company's
401(k) plan through Merrill Lynch.
