We’re scaling fast, deepening our platform integrations, and building the
dominant sales enablement tool in the commercial equipment space. Now, we need
a Head of Engineering who thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, is
deeply hands-on, and wants to play a key role in both product and business
strategy—all while growing our engineering team and building upon our
incredible culture.

**The Role: What You’ll Do**

As Head of Engineering, you’ll be the top technical leader at Trnsact, working
directly with the CEO and partnering with Product, Sales, and Business leaders
to define and execute our technical strategy.
This role is a blend of technical product management, software architecture,
and hands-on engineering, requiring deep experience in building scalable
systems, managing high-performing teams, and driving product impact.

**Your Responsibilities**

* Own technical product execution, translating business needs into engineering action and leading product development cycles.

* Architect and scale our platform, designing core services, APIs, and infrastructure for rapid growth.

* Grow and lead the engineering team, hiring and mentoring top talent while fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.

* Build and strengthen our engineering culture—a place where engineers are empowered, innovation thrives, and teams operate with full ownership.

* Work directly with customers and partners, ensuring our platform solves real-world use cases and drives measurable business outcomes.

* Own the long-term technology roadmap, balancing speed, scalability, and maintainability.

* Explore and integrate AI-driven automation to enhance developer efficiency and optimize platform performance.

**Key Responsibilities**

1. Technical Product Strategy & Execution

* Own product execution, ensuring engineering teams deliver high-impact, customer-driven solutions.
* Break down product requirements into executable development plans, working closely with Product and Business teams.
* Prototype, validate, and ship new features quickly, iterating based on real-world customer feedback.
* Balance speed and scalability, making practical trade-offs to keep shipping while ensuring long-term stability.

1. Grow & Scale the Engineering Team & Culture

* Hire, mentor, and develop a world-class engineering team across frontend, backend, DevOps, and QA.
* Scale the team while maintaining an elite engineering culture built on collaboration, continuous learning, and ownership.
* Foster a fast-moving, high-accountability environment that attracts and retains top talent.

1. Own Software Architecture & Development Execution

* Design and evolve our microservices-based architecture, ensuring performance, scalability, and security.
* Maintain and optimize our GraphQL API, Apollo integrations, AWS-based backend, and core services.
* Drive cloud-native best practices, optimizing CI/CD, DevOps, and infrastructure automation.
* Own technical decisions on integrations, APIs, and system reliability.

1. Engage with Customers & Strategic Partners

* Serve as a technical voice in customer and partner engagements, ensuring our platform meets real business needs.
* Participate in high-value industry discussions, keeping Trnsact ahead in sales enablement innovation.
* Translate customer and partner feedback into immediate engineering priorities and product updates.

**Who You Are**

_Must-Have Skills & Experience_

* 10+ years in software engineering, with 3+ years leading technical teams (CTO, VP, Director, or Head of Engineering).
* Proven experience in technical product execution, owning the engineering roadmap, and delivering software that directly impacts business goals.
* Deep background in software architecture, including microservices, cloud-native applications, and API development.
* Experience scaling B2B SaaS platforms (bonus points for sales enablement, fintech, or PLG).
* Strong hands-on coding ability in React, TypeScript, GraphQL, AWS, or similar stacks.
* Expertise in distributed systems, performance optimization, and security best practices.
* Experience leading small, high-performance engineering teams—we value agile, hands-on leadership far more than enterprise experience.
* Resilient, adaptable, and entrepreneurial mindset—even better if you’ve led or worked at a startup that failed.

_Nice-to-Have Experience_

* Deep expertise in deal automation, CRM integrations, or sales workflow optimization.
* Experience leading integrations with external data providers, financial institutions, or large-scale SaaS platforms.
* Experience building AI-powered recommendation engines.
* Prior startup experience—you love building from 0→1 and iterating quickly.
