### About The Role:

As Head of Engineering & Platform Development at Commonwealth, you’ll be at
the forefront of revolutionizing sports finance and allowing every fan to
become an owner. As Commonwealth’s first internal engineering and development
hire, you will make a dramatic impact steering product and launching into new
verticals and markets.

### In This Role You Will:

* **Own the technical product roadmap** \- define backend & full-stack priorities in support of business goals; decide tradeoffs, set timelines, and deliver high-impact features with quality and speed
* **Oversee product delivery end-to-end** \- align engineering priorities with business goals and ensure the platform evolves with user and regulatory needs
* **Architect and scale backend systems** \- investor onboarding, payments, distributions, and compliance workflows across multiple sports and asset classes
* **Build gamification and social features** \- personal, social, and reward triggers to drive repeat engagement, referrals, and reinvestment
* **Build and scale the engineering organization** \- hire strong engineers, define team structure, establish roles, and mentor junior developers
* **Experiment relentlessly** \- innovate acquisition and conversion strategies: A/B tests, pricing experiments, new channels, and creative optimizations.
* **Integrate new technologies** \- keep the platform ahead of market needs

### Skills You'll Need:

* Expertise building and scaling consumer apps with user accounts, transactions, and a passionate fanbase
* Proven product leadership and the ability to design and deliver frictionless consumer app experiences that balance speed, compliance, and engagement
* Hands-on experience with iOS/Android development and mobile-first design
* Strong product judgment informed by user insights and technical tradeoffs.
* Understanding of behavioral triggers, reward loops, and gamification mechanics that drive reinvestment
* Leadership to recruit, mentor, and scale high-performing engineering teams
* Familiarity with payments, digital wallets, KYC/AML, and regulatory workflows in consumer finance
