ApplyWe’re seeking a proactive, versatile Part‑Time Remote Full‑Stack Engineer to
join our small, cross‑functional team. You’ll work on features, integrations,
and performance improvements across our publishing platform, collaborating
closely with product, design, and editorial stakeholders. This role is ideal
for an experienced engineer who wants meaningful impact with flexible hours.
What you’ll do
Build and maintain web features across the stack (frontend and backend) with a
focus on performance, accessibility, and maintainability.
Implement new UI components and pages using modern JavaScript frameworks.
Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations with CMS,
analytics, and third‑party tools.
Write and maintain tests, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment scripts.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues; monitor app health and
performance.
Participate in technical planning, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
Collaborate with product and editorial teams to translate requirements into
technical solutions.
Requirements
2+ years professional experience building web applications (frontend +
backend).
Strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills and experience with a modern frontend
framework (React, Vue, or Svelte).
Backend experience with Node.js, Python, Ruby, or similar; experience building
RESTful/GraphQL APIs.
Familiarity with relational and/or NoSQL databases (Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB,
Redis).
Experience with CI/CD, containerization (Docker), and cloud platforms (AWS,
GCP, or Azure).
Solid understanding of web performance, security best practices, and
accessibility (WCAG).
Comfortable working asynchronously across time zones; strong written
communication.
Able to work ~15–20 hours/week (flexible schedule).
Git proficiency and experience with code review workflows.
Nice to have
Experience with headless CMS (e.g., Contentful, Sanity, Strapi).
Familiarity with serverless architectures and edge deployments.
Experience in publishing, media, or adtech environments.
Knowledge of SEO best practices for technical implementation.
