We're seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our remote team and
contribute to our mission of improving patient health through technology.
**Role Overview**
As a Software Engineer at Vytatek, you'll primarily focus on frontend
development for our web and mobile applications, while having opportunities to
expand into full-stack work. You'll thrive in a startup environment with high
autonomy, owning significant parts of our stack and building features from
scratch. This role is ideal for someone with a "zero to one" mentality who not
only builds but also maintains, iterates, and runs production software that
directly supports our business goals.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Develop and maintain user-facing features for our TypeScript-based React/Next.js web apps and React Native mobile app.
* Collaborate with the team to design intuitive interfaces that enhance patient adherence and clinician tools for remote monitoring.
* Integrate frontend components with our backend services, with opportunities to contribute to Golang APIs.
* Build scalable, maintainable code from the ground up, ensuring high performance and reliability in production.
* Iterate on features based on user feedback, analytics, and business needs.
* Participate in code reviews, debugging, and optimizing applications for cross-platform compatibility.
* Own end-to-end ownership of projects, from ideation to deployment on AWS.
**Requirements**
* 3-5 years of professional software engineering experience.
* Strong proficiency in TypeScript, React, and React Native for building responsive web and mobile applications.
* Experience working in startup environments where you've handled autonomy and rapid iteration.
* Ability to build, maintain, and scale production software that supports real-world business operations.
* Comfortable working remotely with availability during East Coast hours (e.g., 9 AM - 5 PM ET).
* Passion for healthtech and improving patient outcomes (experience in the field is preferred but not required).
**Nice-to-Haves**
* Experience with Golang or willingness to learn (we'll provide support for full-stack contributions).
* Familiarity with AWS services, PostgreSQL databases, or integrating with connected health devices.
* Background in AI-driven tools, behavioral science applications, or HIPAA-compliant systems.
