**What you’ll do**
Own the end-to-end architecture & roadmap – choose the stack, design data
pipelines, secure cloud infra, and React/TypeScript front-end.
Build the MVP with the CEO, ship weekly releases, then hire and lead a small,
AI-leveraged team.
Co-shape product decisions with DoD users and early commercial adopters.
**You**
Highly experienced full-stack/ML engineer who can explain and defend tool
choices (e.g. Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, React, LangChain, vector DBs,
CI/CD, IaC).
Proven track record shipping production LLM or search-heavy apps with polished
UIs; comfortable with DevSecOps and data security (GovCloud/IL4+ a plus).

**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a highly experienced, entrepreneurial, and passionate Founding
Engineer to co-found and lead our technical team. The Founding Engineer will
work closely with the CEO and other stakeholders to create a technology
roadmap and implement the strategic vision of the company.
**Responsibilities:**
* Define and implement the company’s technological architecture and strategy
* Build and launch our software product. This is a hands-on role from day one, building upon the foundation we have started.
* Partner closely with customers to improve, iterate on, and mature our product. Excited to jump into the fray with customers to bring the product to the next level.
* Grow and manage a high-performing engineering team
* Lead R&D initiatives and oversee all technology development projects
* Establish a culture of innovation and technical excellence
* Ensure compliance with legal and ethical considerations surrounding dual-use technologies
* Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including business development, marketing, and sales to take products to market
* Engage with advisors, investors, and industry experts to ensure the company stays at the forefront of technological advancements
* Analyze complex systems and risks, including those related to cybersecurity
**About You:**
We are looking for a driven technical leader with a proven track record of
innovation in complex enterprise environments. You have spent time building
and scaling software at tech-focused companies, where you are seen as the go-
to technical leader by your peers. You enjoy building and shipping best-in-
class products that solves important problems for your customers.
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field
* Minimum 3-5 years experience as a full-stack software engineer, with experience in both back-end and front-end development.
* Experience with developing robust cloud-based architecture.
* Strong background in generative AI, machine learning, and data analytics
* Familiarity with dual-use technologies and relevant regulations
* Experience managing and scaling teams
* Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
* Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute methodically
