Job Description

Company Description:
ClaimTorque is building an AI-native management system that helps autobody
shops recover revenue and automate their workflows. By integrating intelligent
automation into everyday shop operations, ClaimTorque streamlines claims
management and reduces administrative overhead. The platform is designed to
make complex processes more transparent, efficient, and profitable for repair
businesses. As an early-stage company, ClaimTorque offers the opportunity to
shape core technology and product direction in a high-impact environment.

What you'll do:

* As our first engineering hire, you'll work with the founder to build the entire MVP technical stack, architecture decisions, agent design, integrations, and shipping. Specifically:
* Build and iterate on the AI agents that parse insurance denials, reconcile estimate line items, and draft cited supplement responses
* Design document understanding pipelines for PDF estimates and denial letters across CCC, Mitchell, and Audatex formats
* Own the agentic workflow layer, intake, drafting, approval, follow-up, escalation
* Build the integrations that make ClaimTorque live inside a shop's existing workflow
* Ship the shop OS features, parts procurement, customer comms, payment reconciliation
* Make architecture decisions that will scale as we grow from beta to hundreds of shops

What we're looking for:

* Ideally at least 1 to 2 years of software engineering experience: projects and internships can be supplemental
* Hands-on experience building with LLMs and agentic frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI, or similar)
* Strong full stack fundamentals, you can ship product end to end, not just prototype
* Experience with document parsing, unstructured data, or PDF extraction
* Someone who moves fast and has strong opinions about what to build and what to skip
* Comfort with ambiguity, this is a zero-to-one role, not a ticket queue

Nice to have:

* 3 to 5 years of experience building software products
* Background in insurance, legal tech, compliance, or any domain where cited reasoning matters
* Experience with vertical SaaS or industry-specific workflow tools
* Prior founding engineer or early startup experience

What you get:

* Remote, fast paced, entrepreneurial culture
* Competitive salary + meaningful equity at the ground floor
* Direct line to founders, you'll be in every strategic conversation
* The chance to own the technical identity of a company solving a real, painful, unsexy problem that the industry has been waiting years for someone to fix
* No corporate politics, only hard work and results oriented environment
