**About the Role**
We’re building GenChem-AI, a groundbreaking platform at the intersection of
AI, green chemistry, and sustainable manufacturing—and we’re looking for a
founding technical partner to help bring it to life.
This role is ideal for a senior-level AI engineer or full-stack developer who
can architect and build scalable, intelligent systems end-to-end. You’ll work
directly with the founder (and a seasoned product manager) and existing team
to develop GenChem-AI from prototype to production, helping us transform how
companies innovate in the chemical, manufacturing, and sustainability sectors.
**What You 'll Be Building**
* A custom AI platform that helps chemical and product manufacturers:
* Formulate and optimize new products
* Automate R&D workflows
* Navigate global tariffs & sourcing intelligently
* Ensure regulatory compliance
* Integrations with third-party data sources (e.g., EPA databases, HS code/tariff engines, supply chain APIs)
* Secure client dashboards, LLM-powered agents, and knowledge base tools
* Scalable backend infrastructure for analytics, insights, and workflow management
**Key Responsibilities**
* Lead end-to-end development of the GenChem-AI MVP
* Design and implement architecture (LLM, vector DB, frontend/backend, APIs)
* Collaborate with product and domain experts to translate vision into features
* Build early integrations (Make.com, OpenAI, Tariff APIs, CRM tools, etc.)
* Ensure security, compliance, and performance across all systems
* Help define product roadmap and make key tech decisions
**Who You Are**
* Experienced in building and deploying AI-powered platforms
* Comfortable working with LLMs (OpenAI, LangChain, or similar)
* Skilled in full-stack development (Node, Python, React, or similar frameworks)
* Familiar with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Vercel) and database design
* Excited about sustainability, manufacturing, or chemistry (bonus if you’ve worked in or with those sectors)
* Able to work independently, think like a founder, and move fast
