Our company, Potrero Labs, was founded with the mission to reimagine the
expression and spread of human perspective. We think now is once in a
generation time to build something revolutionary.
We have built Jams, which is a ridiculously easy way to record and share
authentic and engaging conversational videos. We have laid the foundation and
shipped our first product to early users, and gotten strong positive feedback…
But there is a ton more to build and grow.
We have a small but extremely effective team of seasoned product builders,
working in-person in Burlingame, CA in the SF Bay Area. We are backed by some
of the leading investors and product builders, including A16Z, South Park
Commons, Elad Gil, Mysten Labs, Aatif Awan (Indus Valley Capital), Fidji Simo
(Instacart), Vijaye Raji (Statsig), Paresh Rajwat (ex-Oculus VP), among
others.
**About you**
We are looking for scrappy, self-driven, and creative folks who can drive the
growth of Jams. Jams is a consumer product so the work goes all the way from
adding key lighthouse folks with a white glove service to scalable ways to
define and on-board large cohorts. You should have a good grasp of the current
zeitgeist and how to cut through noise to reach and convert our ICPs on
platforms like LinkedIn, Reddit, X, Instagram and TikTok.
_You may be a great fit if:_
* Prior experience at start ups with demonstration of your direct impact.
* An ideal candidate would also have experience with being a creator on substack, LinkedIn, X or other platforms. Be comfortable with evangelizing.
* You are deeply passionate about democratizing voice and about AI technologies and want to change how they accelerate individuals and communities
* You value the energy and occasional chaos of being in the early stages of a company
* You are willing to work the hardest in your career, for an outsized payoff
_You will likely not be a great fit if:_
* Your key strength is being a people manager
* You expect the lifestyle or day to day structure of a large company
**Working together**
Every single day, you can expect to do some of the following:
* Be part of highly integrated team where engineering, product, design, and you work together making each other better
* Outreach to the top-end of our ICP (lighthouse ICPs) – creators, subject matter experts, (e.g., influential substackers, LinkedIn, X, etc.). You will get to build relationships with interesting people who are top of their fields and make them even more successful.
* Managing the outreach pipeline, regular check-ins with creators, unblocking and empowering them, and getting actionable feedback for the team to improve our product
* Test new ideas on outreach via LinkedIn, X, Reddit, email. Work closely with the founders to iterate on ideas.
* Freedom in how you get things done with accountability on adoption outcomes
**Key Details**
Although we have a strong set of backers and a long runway, we are still a
seed-stage startup. Our goal is to be market rate for salary, but be
generously above market rate for equity options and build a small team of
highly invested people.
* Salary: $100-130K
* Equity options: 0.2-1% (based on your current superpowers and growth)
