Tons of objects worth hundreds of dollars, in good or perfect condition, end
up destroyed, burned, or buried daily in landfills or recycling plants. By
innovating, it is possible to generate an incentive to give them a second
life.
Greenriot is a circular economy startup and mobile app to boost local circular
economy.
If you are in NYC, you may be familiar with Stooping (leaving furniture on the
street so that others can give it a second life), which is what the app is
about.
We are preparing for launch and looking for a Community Builder to help us
design, launch, and scale a mission-driven community of Stoopers, sellers,
buyers, advocates, and allies around sustainability and second-hand circular
culture.

What You’ll Do
• Design, build, and activate the foundation of our Greenriot community —
starting in NYC and expanding beyond.
• Develop and execute a community strategy: platforms, content, tone of voice,
engagement mechanics, and growth paths.
• Organize and host online and in-person NYC events.
• Cultivate relationships with ambassadors, early adopters, power users, and
sustainability allies.
• Collect structured feedback from the community and funnel it to the product
and marketing teams.
• Represent Greenriot at local activations and partnerships in NYC.

What We’re Looking For
• Experience in community-building for B2C products or social impact projects.
• Genuine connection to sustainability, circular economy, or NYC culture.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Remote role, but must be NYC-based to attend local events.

What We Offer
• Equity-based compensation. This is currently an equity-based role as we
launch and grow, transitioning to a salaried role post-funding.
• 100% remote work, with flexible hours.
