**The Role:**
As CTO, you will lead the development of Chosan’s technology strategy and own
execution across all digital products and platforms. You’ll work closely with
the CEO and leadership team to align technical initiatives with our mission,
while managing and growing a globally distributed engineering team.
We’re looking for a hands-on technical leader who can architect scalable
systems, manage day-to-day product delivery, and build a team capable of
executing on an ambitious vision.
**Responsibilities:**
Tech Vision & Strategy
* Define and lead Chosan’s overall technology direction, including product architecture and infrastructure decisions.
* Translate business goals into scalable and sustainable tech solutions.
Team Building & Leadership
* Hire, manage, and mentor engineers across time zones, including offshore developers in India.
* Create a high-performance engineering culture grounded in quality, collaboration, and innovation.
Execution & Ownership
* Oversee development and deployment of all digital experiences — from consumer-facing portals to internal operations tools.
* Drive platform architecture, security, performance, and scalability across the stack.
* Lead sprint planning, technical prioritization, and code quality reviews.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Partner closely with Product, Design, Operations, and Growth teams to bring features to life quickly and effectively.
* Play a key role in executive decision-making and investor communications.
What We’re Looking For:
* 7–12+ years of engineering experience, with 2–4+ years in a technical leadership or CTO role.
* Deep proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Node.js, and cloud platforms like AWS or Firebase.
* Track record of building scalable consumer-facing platforms or service-based ecosystems.
* Experience managing distributed teams and overseeing offshore engineering operations.
* Builder mentality — comfortable being hands-on when needed while thinking strategically.
* Clear communicator, highly collaborative, and energized by fast-paced environments.
Nice to Have:
* Experience with service platforms, proptech, or consumer lifestyle startups.
* Background in points/rewards systems, logistics, or marketplace-style applications.
* Familiarity with mobile development or cross-platform technologies.
* Prior experience as a founder, technical co-founder, or startup #2.
