Our team also includes technology leadership from Stanford, Tesla, DoorDash, and ThoughtSpot ($4 billion AI startup).

**Role Overview**
The CTO at TraceChain will be responsible for leading the product development
and technological strategy of the company. This role offers a unique
opportunity to hire the initial engineering team, write the first lines of
code, deliver the first product, iterate the product with our customers, and
scale the team and technology. The CTO will own the product development
process, ensuring it is delivered with quality, speed, and intelligence.
We are not looking for a project manager; we are seeking a passionate
engineering leader who is committed to building a world-class engineering
team, developing scalable and intelligent software systems, and willing to
roll up their sleeves and do the hard work to go from zero to one.
The CTO must be able to communicate technical concepts plainly and clearly
with the CEO and the rest of the executive team, providing guidance on
engineering implementations for desired product flows.

**Key Responsibilities**
* Lead the product development and technological strategy of the company.
* Hire the initial engineering team and build a world-class engineering team.
* Write the first lines of code and deliver the initial product.
* Develop iterations of the product based on customer feedback.
* Ensure the product development process is delivered with quality, speed, and intelligence.
* Drive the technological vision and implementation to align with business goals.
* Oversee cloud infrastructure deployment and management of AI models.
* Collaborate with the frontend team to ensure seamless backend integration.
* Communicate technical concepts plainly and clearly with the CEO and the rest of the executive team, providing guidance on engineering implementations for desired product flows.
**Required Experience**
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
* Minimum of 4 years of full stack or backend software engineering experience, with at least 1 year in a managerial role.
* Deep knowledge of full stack engineering, with deep experience in at least one popular backend framework like NodeJS, Java, Django, etc.
* Experience scaling large data systems, including proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases.
* Excitement for and knowledge about implementing cutting-edge AI systems.
* Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
* Clear communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical ideas simply to non-technical people.
* Ability to hire engineers and build a world-class engineering team.
* Ability to assess technology-related partnerships and vendors, understanding the benefits and tradeoffs.
* Humility and a strong work ethic.
