Hello, we're Streamlane, an AI-driven shipping optimization platform for large
ecommerce brands. We raised our seed round last year to build the go-to
shipping solution for ecom operators. We are looking for an experienced
backend engineer to join our core engineering team.
**Who we are**
* We have a strong background in engineering, operations and finance. Our founding team grew IPSY's (world's leading beauty subscription co) engineering and operations orgs from inception to unicorn
* We’ve lived this problem personally and know the space very well
* We're based in New York and California
**Is this you? (you should have most if not all of the following)**
* Several years of software engineering experience and passion for good software engineering principles and practices
* Node.js expertise
* Experience with various AWS services such as Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, and API Gateway
* Experience with databases, both relational and noSQL, and data architecture
* Experience with API design and integration
* You're equally excited about collaborating with the founding team on strategic product decisions as you are about building out our products from scratch
* You're ambitious and passionate about this stuff. We have big plans so we'll need your stamina as we want you with us long term!
**Helpful but not required:**
* Experience with constrained optimization
* Experience with OpenAI chat API and other AI tools
* Experience in the shipping, logistics, operations, or related fields
* Experience with SaaS product development
* Experience with data warehousing systems and BI tools

* We signed several large ecommerce customers in the first few months of launching our product so you’ll be hitting the ground running
* We’re going after a huge market + it’s at an interesting inflection point: shipping costs are at an all-time high, margins are a top priority and the opportunity to impact the sustainability of our customers' business is substantial
* There is SO much to build and the market wants this. We dare you to ask any large ecommerce brand how they feel about their shipping operations processes :)
* We're building logistics software for ecommerce companies which means we're interacting with some of the coolest brands and are hugely focused on UX
**About Streamlane:**
We're building an AI-driven shipping optimization platform for large ecommerce
brands and 3PLs. The industry still mostly operates through excel sheets,
emails and phone calls, causing unnecessary shipping costs, supply chain risk
and a suboptimal customer experience. Streamlane is building the first of its
kind all-in-one platform that bolts onto WMS / TMS, to support operators
across the entire shipping value chain.
